So it's Nick who decides whether there is a breach of the IG/OOC frontier or not. Seems like he did it. So now I'm very curious about his reasoning.
Yes, it's still a game and Nick has a whole plan in mind for this part of the story.
And breaking the fourth wall might get fun sometimes.
For example, I was DMing a Little Fears scenario once, with some kid disappearing of the hostel. The players started to investigate and to roam in the basement. At that point, I said to everybody : "Ok, dices down, put your shoes, we're heading the basement."
My flat was in an old building with a basement that looked a bit like the catacombs (or an access to them). In a corridor (with just a flashlight for the whole group, they found the half of a teddy bear, with blood on it.
